In December 2011 the U.S. Congress passed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA). President Obama secretly signed it into law on 31 December 2011.
The NDAA, among other things, authorizes the U.S. military to operate with police powers within the borders of the U.S. The military is also granted the power to hold U.S. citizens without trial or legal counsel indefinitely.
Many of us consider this a violation of our Constitutional rights. Certainly we want our loved ones and all Americans to live in safety and to flourish and prosper. Robbing Americans of their Constitutional rights is not the way to accomplish this.
Ron Paul is one voice in the Congress who is standing up for the Constitution that all members of the Congress, Military, and indeed the President have sworn to uphold. Why are other members of Congress and the President not honoring their oaths of office?
