My Scientology Story

In Resignation, Scientology on September 3, 2012 at 12:46 am

From the time I posted my resignation on this blog, I’ve had many requests from friends, acquaintances and social media followers to share my Scientology story.

It is a story of betrayal and loss.

Seeing friends have their life shortened because of misapplication of the Scientology technology.

My story is a story of gradually discovering for myself how so many individuals have had their human rights violated by an organization that pounds their chests while pontificating about how they are defenders of human rights. This was a journey that took time – time to reconcile all of the contradictions that I had been willing to live with for 15 years, which resulted in my awakening and being able to see things for what they are.

This awakening takes as long as it takes.

It is a story of bait and switch, lies from recruiters, and being stalked by Sea Organization members and IAS membership officers demanding even more financial contributions without any accountability for where these dollars go.

I have lived through and survived their policies and practices of Disconnection and Fair Game.

And yes, I too have loved ones who are still trapped behind the Iron Curtain of Thought Stopping and Mind Control.

So yes, I will tell my story. At the appropriate time.

Resignation

In Most Viewed, No Time For Slaves, Religion, Politics and War, Resignation, Scientology, Wealth For All on June 15, 2011 at 9:07 am

During my adult years I’ve introduced many people to this philosophy and group. Now the responsible thing for me to do is make my present time point of view on these topics known:

re: IAS and C of S Resignations

To Whom it May Concern:

The purpose of this document is to clarify my viewpoint on the philosophy of Scientology, The Church of Scientology and the International Association of Scientologists. It should be distributed to my legal representatives and anyone who is responsible for handling various aspects of my personal or business affairs.

My name is Michael Bennitt and I became a Founding Patron of the International Association of Scientologists (IAS) in 1992 (#12748 040 0008 1047). The IAS is the official membership organization of the Church of Scientology (C of S), of which I have been a member even longer. Previous to that, I studied L. Ron Hubbard’s Philosophy of Scientology in his written works.

In November 2010 I decided to withdraw my support from the IAS and the C of S. I will go into details of the reasons behind this at another time. But it is important to differentiate between the Church of Scientology, which was founded by L. Ron Hubbard, and the Philosophy of Scientology. I still study and apply the Philosophy of Scientology to my life and to help others improve their lives in their own estimation.

I do not consider Church of Scientology staff members, ministers, and particularly Sea Organization members to be my friends or friendly associates. Should they attempt, in the future, to represent themselves as such it would indeed be a misrepresentation intended to deceive.

I fully expect them (the C of S and its agents) to reveal private details of my life which I have disclosed to counselors during confidential counseling, or auditing, sessions in an attempt to discredit me. The Church of Scientology and their codes of conduct as written by L. Ron Hubbard compel them to keep all information disclosed in these auditing sessions private, as with a Catholic Confessional. However, I have witnessed first hand repeated violations of these codes with the intention of discrediting others. In addition, I expect them to attribute false statements to me claiming that I had freely confessed them in a non-confidential forum.

Simply, I agree with and see value in the axioms of Dianetics and Scientology.

I disagree with and do not sanction the policies and practices of the Church of Scientology, the International Association of Scientologists or the Sea Organization.

My advice to you is look for yourself. Don’t “have faith”. Don’t ” believe” anything.

You can discover Truth for yourself.

There are no contradictions and there are no coincidences in this universe. If you find the apparency of one then check your premises because one or more of them are unfounded. To carry on and allow contradictions to persist is to abandon your power of reason and the final product of that is slavery. I have personally witnessed this to be true.

Your mind is your greatest asset. You are not your mind.

LOOK DON’T THINK.

Good Health, long life and happiness to you.

A pistol sitting on a table can kill no one. It is the hand holding the pistol that can make it deadly. And so it is with Scientology – which is simply words on a page. The problem with the Church of Scientology is the individuals applying it.
